The Diesel RV Club is for motorhome/coach owners with an interest in diesel engines, how to maintain them, how to get maximum performance, and how to keep repair costs to a minimum.
The Chapter offers rallies which combine social and technical programs with a purpose to:
- Exchange information on RVing and Diesel Engines
- Provide opportunities for fun and fellowship
- Support FMCA activities such as rallies and FMCA conventions
The Diesel RV Club was orginally chartered as the CAT RV Club was chartered as an official FMCA chapter at the Albuquerque FMCA Convention in March, 2004. The CAT RV Club was started by Don Tallman and a group of FMCA motorhome owners powered by CAT Diesel Engines. The first business meeting was held at the FMCA Albuquerque Convention on March 18, 2004 and had 390 charter members sign on. Don was elected the first club President. A Special thanks to Don Tallman and Suzie Adcock for getting this club off the ground!
Times have changed, the industry is different and members have expressed their continued desire for the Chapter to take steps to ensure its viability. We changed the name of our Chapter recently to Diesel RV Club. Our members are the backbone of the Club and their expectation for it to enhance the diesel motorhome experience drives our mix of technical and social activities. Membership, is contingent - just as it is with FMCA - on ownership of a qualifying motor coach: a Type/Class A, B or C motorhome, or a bus conversion, that contains all of the conveniences of home (including cooking, sleeping and permanent sanitary facilities). Come join us.
Membership dues for a Full/Family membership are $15 (eNews) or $25 (Print) per year depending on the type of communication you elect to receive. The Chapter sends four eNews/Newsletters per year.
